A.S.K. Dinner To-Go from 12:00 noon - 5:00 PM

My Dear Siblings in Christ,
We began 2021 hoping that the COVID-19 pandemic would soon come to an end. With the widespread availability of safe and effective vaccines, we are discovering ways to live with and through the pandemic. More dangerous coronavirus variants have arisen and the disease continues to spread, but our church is carrying on.
This summer, we returned to in-person worship on Sundays while maintaining our online worship videos on Facebook. We have grown and expanded our weekday virtual Evening Prayer services and offered several virtual adult Christian education options. We continue to be active in our community, supporting the work of mercy ministries like Emmaus House, which serves people experiencing homelessness in downtown Savannah. We also support JUST, our local interfaith justice ministry, as they work to expand affordable housing options in the City of Savannah.
More importantly, we worship a loving, liberating, and life-giving God. God is doing infinitely more than we can ask for or imagine (Ephesians 3:20). We will continue to be hopeful because neither God nor this church has abandoned its members. We have a mission to live life around the table, and we have not given up on God’s call. We need your support to answer God’s call in 2022 and beyond.
Please prayerfully consider submitting a giving estimate to St. Matthew’s in 2022. Please also consider increasing your financial support to our church’s operating budget and striving for the biblical standard of the tithe (i.e., giving 10% of your income) if you have not already. And please consider participating in the many ministry and service opportunities that are also featured on the 2022 Giving Estimate (formerly called “pledges”). Giving estimates may be physically returned to the church in person or by mail. They may also be completed online at: https://tinyurl.com/StMattSav2022. The deadline for all giving estimates is Sunday, November 7, 2021.
Finally, thank you for attending the A.S.K. Dinner To-Go! We’re so glad we had the opportunity to see many of you, even as we practice social distancing and wear masks. If you were unable to attend today and would like hard copies of the materials in the stewardship goodie bags (linked below), contact me at FrGAA@StMattSav.org.
