*Good Friday, and other weekdays in Lent and Holy Week are traditionally “observed by special acts of discipline and self-denial” (Book of Common Prayer, p. 17). The details of these devotions are left to the individual’s conscience. We recommend consulting a spiritual director and/or a wise and thoughtful priest in crafting your Lenten discipline.
